FOUNDER STORY
All started with Jean Séraphin `NDASSIE visit to his grandmother in rural Cameroon!
During years of his master study at the Technology University of Delft, the Founder of Ndassie Engineering visited his grandmother in Fotouni, a small village of Cameroon; his grandmother who has not seen him for a while, decided to cook him his favorite meal. As it is the custom with over 18 million Cameroonians, his grandmother used a kerosene lamp to lighten the dark nights of her kitchen. Using a kerosene lamp or any other primitive lamp to go about household tasks after sunset can be very challenging.

Four billion cell-phone’s users are living in areas facing permanent black out and regions of the world lacking access to reliable electricity network. Ndassie-Ghana is started as the answer to this increasing problem for Ghana population. Many Emerging countries have very low electrification rate and when it is available, it cannot reach rural population. Our products are designed for disaster affected areas, war refugees’ camps and mainly for abandoned rural population. In many Developing Nations, rural poverty has become a great enemy in the country, making the poor people and the deprived regions to live in absolute low standard of living.
